Terms of Service

Last updated 11 October 2026.

These terms govern use of Royal Sudoku at royalsudoku.com, a free service operated by Othmane Miri, based in Morocco. For questions, account concerns, or legal matters, email [email protected].

1. Agreement and eligibility

By using Sudoku you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. You must be legally able to accept these terms in your location. Sudoku is not directed to children below the minimum age at which they may consent to online services under applicable law. A parent or guardian must authorize use where required.

2. The service

Sudoku offers free Sudoku puzzles and educational content. Guests can play without an account and retain their current puzzle in their browser. Accounts provide saved games and gameplay records. Difficulty labels and rankings are recreational assessments; they carry no monetary value or guarantee of skill. Features, puzzle availability, and content may change. We aim for reliable operation but do not promise uninterrupted access.

3. Accounts and security

Provide an email you control, choose a suitable username, and keep your password confidential. Verify your email before using account features. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person, share credentials to evade restrictions, or create accounts for abuse. You may reset your password, export personal account data, and delete your account in settings.

4. Fair play and acceptable use

Do not manipulate completion requests or timers, automate ranked solves, submit another person’s results, disrupt the service, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass access controls or rate limits, scrape personal information, or upload malicious or unlawful material. Do not use the service in violation of applicable law. Report vulnerabilities privately to the contact above. We may reject invalid results, remove abusive usernames or records, and suspend access for violations. Contact us to request a review of an enforcement decision.

5. Content and intellectual property

The Sudoku brand, software, original writing, and visual assets belong to the operator or their licensors, subject to applicable open-source licenses. You may use the service for personal recreation, download and print our printable Sudoku PDFs for personal, non-commercial use, and share your own result messages. Magazines and newspapers should contact us through the publications page to arrange publication rights. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service or permit copying protected material for commercial distribution. You retain ownership of lawful material you submit and grant us the limited permission needed to store and display it as part of the service.

6. Privacy, cookies, and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains account data, gameplay records, necessary cookies, browser storage, providers, retention, and your rights. Verification, password-reset, and essential account emails are service communications. We do not use visitor analytics. Google AdSense code is included, but advertisements are not currently enabled. Our Privacy Policy describes the technical information that loading this code may send to Google. Advertising or optional analytics will require updated disclosures and consent choices where legally required.

7. Suspension, deletion, and changes

You may stop using Sudoku at any time. Account deletion removes active account and private gameplay data; limited backup or legally required retention is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations or when necessary to protect the service or comply with law. Material changes to these terms will be announced through the service or email when appropriate. Continued use after an announced effective date means acceptance, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sudoku is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of educational content. We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including loss of browser-only progress. No term excludes liability or consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or other mandatory protections. Any limitation must be interpreted consistently with your local statutory rights.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, subject to mandatory consumer protections and any rights that apply in your location. Disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law; these terms do not require an exclusive court or remove any right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction. Contact [email protected] to discuss a dispute first, without limiting your legal remedies. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply where lawful.
